Omega catalogue 1915
I have a scan from a single page, folded in 4 parts, that should be from the 1915 catalogue. Unfortunately the bottom edge of the page seems to be missing.
I also have an advert from December 1914 that introduces the "entirely new and re-designed" 1915 Omega. In this advertisement is an image of a catalogue front. As the motorcycle on it is different from the 1914 model, this must be the 1915 catalogue. Putting this together I come to the following catalogue:
Frontpage
Nice to see is the manual correction of the cubic capacity that was printed as 246 cc:
Compared to 1914 the Model 2 with 225cc Veloce engine has disappeared, and only 1 model was left. But now the motorcycle is available as "single gear" model (thus with direct belt drive to the rear wheel), with a gear box and clutch with 2 or 3 speeds, and even with sidecar!
Although the 1915 model at first glance doesn't seem to differ much from the 1914 model, there are some differences visible:
- The frame has a different connection of the headstock
- The handlebars are shorter
- The engine is different; most clear differences are the magneto, which is not longer placed before but behind the cilinder, and the cilinder which now has the decompression outlet on the front side with a connection to the exhaust
- The seat is different
- The luggage rack is longer
